Against West Indies, this was his 8th ODI century and for that, he became the first batsman in the history of Cricket who scores eight or more hundred against three different opposition in ODI.

Let me tell you that the Captain had previously scored 8 centuries against their competitors Sri Lanka and Australia. Before Virat Kohli, the record was belonging to the legend of Indian Cricket Sachin Tendulkar who had 8 centuries against Sri Lanka and 9 centuries against their competitor Australia.

Virat Kohli not only surpasses the record of Sachin Tendulkar but also Former Indian Captain Sourav Ganguly and for that Virat Kohli became 2nd highest run-getter in ODIs. Let me tell you the record of Ganguly in ODIs is 11,353 runs where he played 311 ODIs. India skipper surpasses this record in his 238th Match when he hit the boundary while facing Jason Holder.
